Meet our Moon Location Educators

I’m Abby, the owner and founder of C&M Play Studio, an early childhood education facility with 18 classrooms, a large gym, over 50 amazing teachers, and more than 300 students enrolled. I’m also thrilled to be opening our second location in August 2025, which will feature 16 additional classrooms to serve even more families in our community.

I bring together my background in business, sports, and childcare, along with the inspiration and values I’ve gained from raising my own two children, to create a nurturing, innovative, and community-focused environment where children and families thrive.

I’m passionate about forming partnerships with other local businesses and supporting the needs of families in our community. As I prepare to open our second location, I’m excited to continue growing the vision of C&M Play Studio — offering even more opportunities for connection, learning, and joyful play.

Hi! I’m Miss Hannah! I live in Moon Township with my husband and our two young kiddos, Hayes and Claire. There’s nothing I love more than watching them grow and learn new things, which is what makes teaching so fulfilling as well! In our free time, we love hanging out with our family and friends, watching football, and creating balloon backdrops for our small business (Block Party Events). I graduated from Penn State University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. My goal is always to teach the children in a fun, yet intentional way that helps them gain independence and confidence!

Hi! I’m Riley, Assistant Behavior Director at C&M. I was born and raised in Minnesota and have worked in childcare for five years, after spending five years volunteering as a CCD teacher. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and a degree in Counseling and Applied Psychological Sciences. Outside of work, I love creating — from paintings and drawings to sculptures and other art projects — and spending quality time with my family.

My mission has always been to bring creative, engaging, and educational projects to life, helping kids explore the world around them in meaningful ways. I love learning from their unique perspectives and fresh ideas!

In my new role as Assistant Behavior Director, I’ll be working closely with students and staff to support positive behavior strategies and classroom success. Under Miss Kathryn’s mentorship, I’ve built a strong foundation to continue this important work, and I’m excited to help every child feel supported and understood.

In my role as Assistant Center Director, I help oversee classroom operations, support staff, and maintain strong communication with families. I’m passionate about creating meaningful connections, solving problems with a calm and steady hand, and leading with compassion.

Hi everyone!

My name is Luana, but you can call me Lu. I was born in Brazil and raised in New Jersey before moving to the Pittsburgh area in 2020. My husband, our two children, and I now call Imperial home.

I am a proud mom to two boys, Beckett and Brooks, who both attend C&M. Our family first became part of the C&M community in September 2022 as parents, and it has been incredible to watch our children learn and grow here.

Today, I am honored to serve as the Human Resources Director and to be a part of this amazing team in a professional capacity as well.

Prior to joining C&M, I worked as a nanny and also gained valuable experience in the healthcare field.

When I'm not at work, you can usually find my family and I enjoying time at the pool, visiting local parks, or grabbing ice cream together. We are also a big sports family and love cheering on the Steelers—whether from home or at Heinz Field (it will always be Heinz Field to us!).

As Human Resources Director, my goal is to support our incredible staff while helping foster a positive, welcoming, and family-centered culture throughout our centers. I am passionate about creating an environment where both children and educators can thrive, and I am excited to be apart of a fast growing company.

Hi! My name is Mara, and I am from Follansbee, WV, where I live with my husband, Charles, and our two dogs, Maverick and Gino.

From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with children. I began babysitting at 11 years old, took childcare classes throughout school, and pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education after graduation. While working at my first childcare center, I also completed coursework in business and leadership to prepare for future opportunities in administration and management.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree, I spent some time in retail management, where I gained valuable leadership experience. However, that experience reinforced what I had always known, that my passion was in early childhood education. Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of roles and each position has provided me with unique opportunities to support children, families, and fellow educators.

As I step into my new role as Enrollment Director, I am excited to combine my experience in early childhood education, family engagement, and leadership to help families feel welcomed, supported, and connected from the very beginning of their journey with our center. I look forward to building strong relationships with children and families and contributing to a positive, nurturing environment where everyone can thrive.

I grew up in Fairmont, West Virginia, and earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Fairmont State University in 2013. In 2018, I completed my Master’s in Early Childhood Education from California University of Pennsylvania.

I live in Moon, PA, with my husband, our son Lucas and our cats. Fun fact — I’m an identical triplet and have three wonderful sisters!

As Education Director, I’ll be supporting all centers by guiding teachers with curriculum planning, lesson design, and classroom implementation. My goal is to ensure that every student at C&M receives high-quality, engaging learning experiences that help them thrive.

Hi! My name is Miss Lauren, and I am from Hookstown, PA. I come from a large family of four sisters and three brothers. I am also an aunt to seven nieces and nephews (and counting!), so spending time with kids has always been a part of my life-- and something I love. Over the years I have babysat for multiple families with kids of all ages, and have volunteered with various kids’ programs. I love to see kids learn and grow, and my biggest desire is to give them a space where they will feel valued, comfortable, confident, and safe. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Multimedia Design and am excited to bring creativity into the classroom through art and hands-on activities. In my free time I enjoy drawing, painting, playing my piano, being out in the sunshine, and hanging out with my friends and family. I’m very excited to be part of your child’s learning experience and I look forward to getting to know each student and family!

Hi! I’m Miss Tess. I graduated from Moon Area High School in 2020 and from Waynesburg University in 2024. I grew up in a childcare center—my mom owned a daycare when I was younger, so being around kids has always been a big part of my life. I started babysitting in 8th grade and still do to this day! When I first went to college, I planned to earn a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Along the way, I took psychology and sociology classes and realized how much I loved learning about children on a deeper level. That led me to change my major so I could support children in a different, more holistic way. My goal as an educator is to be someone children can trust, feel comfortable with, and look up to. Helping a child smile and knowing I’ve made a positive difference in their day is truly what motivates me. And just for fun—some things I love are the Grinch, goose shirts, Disney, and anything Pittsburgh!

Hello! My name is Courtney! I graduated from Pittsburgh Technical College in 2021 for Surgical Technology. I originally started after high school taking child development classes. I am also a Licensed Esthetician! I love to be well rounded and realized childcare is the home for me. I have 2 years of childcare experience! I live in Robinson with my husband (Alex) and two dogs (Chloe & Mika)! In my free time I love hiking, reading, singing, and painting! You can always find me with a cup of coffee and my kindle! I am looking forward to meeting your children and helping them grow!

Hello, I'm Izzy! I am a proud West Virginia native, I grew up in Charleston and also lived in Morgantown for five years before moving to Crafton with my partner, Ethan. In my free time, you can usually find me spending time with friends and family, listening to music or video essays, building Legos, playing word games and sudoku, or exploring the outdoors with Ethan.

I have always had a passion for teaching and caregiving, starting with my little brother, who is almost seven years younger than me. From playtime and cuddles in the early years, to homework help at the dinner table, to now helping teach him to drive, it truly guided me to realize my passion for watching and assisting the development of young children. I started working in childcare in 2023 as a toddler teacher, and never looked back! I hold multiple certifications in infant and toddler care, and am always eager to further expand my learning.

Hi, my name is Miss Sam! I grew up locally and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Penn State in 2014. I have been a certified foster parent since 2021, and I also have several years experience babysitting and giving children horseback riding lessons. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on adventures outdoors, and having living room dance parties with my daughter. I'm excited to join the team at C&M and look forward to getting to know all of the children, parents, and staff that make it such an awesome place!

Hello! My name is Miss Sarah. I'm originally from McCutchenville, Ohio. I now reside with my fiancé in Steubenville, Ohio. Family means everything to me. I'm the youngest of five and I'm a proud auntie to 3 nephews and 1 niece. Being an aunt is my favorite job in the world. I have about 7 years of experience babysitting and volunteering with children and youth through various programs, camps, and clubs. Professionally, I have worked in a community mental health facility and in a residential treatment facility, helping children and teens build skills for their mental health and wellness. I loved watching them grow, celebrate their progress, and build confidence. I'm excited to bring together my mental health and childcare experiences to create a classroom that's safe, supportive, fun, and full of creativity. In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, singing, playing volleyball, hiking, being in nature, and spending time with family and friends. Hi! I’m Lexie ! , I’m originally from upstate New York but moved to Pittsburgh in 2023!. Along with starting my journey in child care, I am also a Pennsylvania licensed cosmetologist!. I started my journey to become a teacher because I love working with kids, ever since I was 11 I’ve been babysitting for family and family friends and my love for children grows everyday while seeing them develop into their own personalities, There’s nothing more that I want in this world to become a mom! It’s my mission in the classroom to make sure each child is so loved, heard, and most importantly to make sure they have fun while learning in creative ways.

Hi! My name is Chelsea and I am so excited to be here at C&M Play Studios! I have been involved in the childcare setting for 10 years, as well as a pediatric occupational therapist for 5 years, and I have seen first hand the importance of quality early childhood education. These young years are oh so crucial for growth, development, and emotional and sensory regulation. I have two littles of my own, Mila (3.5 years old) and Bryson (9 months old), who keep me on my toes, and always learning! We recently moved to Oakdale and have been having fun exploring the surrounding area with my husband and our dog, Luna. We enjoy frequent outings to the farm, playground, library, and pool! I am so excited to get to know your child and to help them grow to their fullest potential! I hope to create a calm, creative, and joyful environment for us to grow and learn in together.

Hi! My name is Brenna and I am so excited to return to my first love- my genuine passion for and interest in early education and child development! Throughout my long and varied childcare and teaching career, I have worked with children from birth through 4th grade. I've been teaching since 2009 and have a BA in Early Childhood Education from Point Park University and an MEd. in Educational Studies from Duquesne University. After the past several years of teaching in an early elementary classroom, I was eager to once again guide and care for the youngest learners. I am amazed at the amount of growth children experience between birth and the time they enter school, transforming from cuddly little babies into thoughtful, curious, social individuals with preferences, problem-solving skills, and knowledge that increases daily! I love witnessing and being a part of this journey!

I live in Imperial, PA, with my two beautiful children and our two cats. Becoming a parent has made me even more passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves.

My mission in the classroom is to provide a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels loved, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I believe that children learn best through meaningful relationships, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to explore their curiosity. Hello! My name is Jasmine! I’m from Pittsburgh, PA, and I’ve been working in childcare for the past four years. During these years, I’ve learned that working with children is one of my favorite things. I truly love watching them grow, develop new skills, and be their fun little selves.

Hi! My name is Saidakhon (May Saida) I’m from Russia and spent many years living and studying in Saudi Arabia. I speak Russian, Arabic, Persian, and English.

I’m also a mom of six! My three oldest children are already in high school, and being a mother has given me a deep love for caring for children and watching them learn, grow, and discover the world around them. As my own children have grown older, I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to work with younger children and be part of these special early years again.
