Meet our Moon Location Educators

I’m Abby, the owner and founder of C&M Play Studio, an early childhood education facility with 18 classrooms, a large gym, over 50 amazing teachers, and more than 300 students enrolled. I’m also thrilled to be opening our second location in August 2025, which will feature 16 additional classrooms to serve even more families in our community.

I bring together my background in business, sports, and childcare, along with the inspiration and values I’ve gained from raising my own two children, to create a nurturing, innovative, and community-focused environment where children and families thrive.

I’m passionate about forming partnerships with other local businesses and supporting the needs of families in our community. As I prepare to open our second location, I’m excited to continue growing the vision of C&M Play Studio — offering even more opportunities for connection, learning, and joyful play.

Hi! I’m Miss Hannah! I live in Moon Township with my husband and our two young kiddos, Hayes and Claire. There’s nothing I love more than watching them grow and learn new things, which is what makes teaching so fulfilling as well! In our free time, we love hanging out with our family and friends, watching football, and creating balloon backdrops for our small business (Block Party Events). I graduated from Penn State University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. My goal is always to teach the children in a fun, yet intentional way that helps them gain independence and confidence!

Hi! I’m Riley, Assistant Behavior Director at C&M. I was born and raised in Minnesota and have worked in childcare for five years, after spending five years volunteering as a CCD teacher. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and a degree in Counseling and Applied Psychological Sciences. Outside of work, I love creating — from paintings and drawings to sculptures and other art projects — and spending quality time with my family.

My mission has always been to bring creative, engaging, and educational projects to life, helping kids explore the world around them in meaningful ways. I love learning from their unique perspectives and fresh ideas!

In my new role as Assistant Behavior Director, I’ll be working closely with students and staff to support positive behavior strategies and classroom success. Under Miss Kathryn’s mentorship, I’ve built a strong foundation to continue this important work, and I’m excited to help every child feel supported and understood.

In my role as Assistant Center Director, I help oversee classroom operations, support staff, and maintain strong communication with families. I’m passionate about creating meaningful connections, solving problems with a calm and steady hand, and leading with compassion.

Outside of work, my life is full! My family and I breed Boxers and French Bulldogs, and I love painting, cooking, making Mandala art, playing pool, enjoying music, and spending time outdoors.

Hi! I’m Miss Kathryn, Behavior Director at C&M!  I earned my associate degree in Early Education and Child Development from Community College of Allegheny County in 2020, along with certifications in Infant Mental Health and Child Development

With 12 years of experience working with children from 6 weeks to school age—as a childcare provider, nanny, and nursery worker—I’m deeply passionate about supporting each child’s growth. My goal is to help children reach milestones in all areas of development within a safe and nurturing environment.

As Behavior Support Director, I support students, staff and families at both C&M locations. Using my expertise in behavior management and strong partnerships with outside therapists, I strive to ensure every child is met with compassion, understanding, and personalized support. I can be found throughout all classrooms and age groups, advocating for the highest quality of care for all of our students.

Hi! I’m Jenna the Marketing Director at C&M Play Studio.

I started at C&M as a preschool teacher while finishing my degree in Management, and I’ve been part of the team since before we even opened our doors! What began as a love for teaching grew into a passion for marketing and design as I found ways to share the heart of our center with families.

Today, I use my background in management, marketing, and early education to help connect families with everything that makes C&M special. As Marketing Director supporting both locations, I lead communication and branding, bringing C&M’s voice to life. I’m the creative mind behind our messaging, helping families connect with our mission, learn about our programs, and stay engaged with everything happening here.

Hi! I’m Katy! I grew up in Fairmont, West Virginia, and earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Fairmont State University in 2013. In 2018, I completed my Master’s in Early Childhood Education from California University of Pennsylvania.
I live in Moon, PA, with my husband, our son Lucas, our corgi Goliath, and our cat Sebastian. Fun fact — I’m an identical triplet and have three wonderful sisters!
As Education Director, I’ll be supporting both centers by guiding teachers with curriculum planning, lesson design, and classroom implementation. My goal is to ensure that every student at C&M receives high-quality, engaging learning experiences that help them thrive.
I’m so excited to help our teachers and families grow together!

Hii everyone!! My name is Luana but you can keep it short and call me Lu. I was born in Brazil and raised in NJ. I moved to Pittsburgh in 2020 and I  now reside in Imperial with my husband and two kids. I have a 3 year old boy(Beckett) and 5 month old baby(Brooks) that both attend C&M. I have been apart of the community as a parent since September 2022 and now I have the privilege to work here as well. In our free time my family and I love to hang out at the pool, go to the park and eat ice cream. We are a big sports family and love watching the Steelers both at home and at Heinz Field (it’ll always be Heinz). In the past I have worked as a nanny and also have a background in healthcare. I am thrilled to be apart of this amazing, fast growing company and I can’t wait to help your children learn and grow. My goal at C&M is to create a fun educational environment. 

Hi! I’m Mara and I am from Follansbee, WV where I live with my husband Charles and our two dogs, Maverick and Gino.  I hold an Associates Degree in Early Childhood, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business. I have 7 years of early childhood experience in various roles. I love working with young children and watching their minds grow and expand. Seeing the light and excitement in their eyes as they master new skills is what it’s all about! I’m looking forward to working with your child and getting to know your family!

Hi! I’m Miss Emma and I’m from Beaver, PA!

I got my start with childcare by babysitting my seven cousins, and that’s where my love for working with kids truly began. I became a teacher because I believe every child deserves someone who adores and cares for them. No matter their age, every kid deserves to feel safe, supported, and loved while they’re away from their parents.

Hello, I’m Breanna! I am originally from the Southern Tier area in New York but moved to Pittsburgh in August 2022! I have been in a classroom since I graduated high school, and when I moved to Pittsburgh becoming a teacher felt like the right move! In my classroom, I strive to teach kids confidence in trying new things, teaching them independence and creating an inviting and loving classroom when kids learn and grow!

Hi! I’m Miss Tess. I graduated from Moon Area High School in 2020 and from Waynesburg University in 2024. I grew up in a childcare center—my mom owned a daycare when I was younger, so being around kids has always been a big part of my life. I started babysitting in 8th grade and still do to this day! When I first went to college, I planned to earn a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Along the way, I took psychology and sociology classes and realized how much I loved learning about children on a deeper level. That led me to change my major so I could support children in a different, more holistic way. My goal as an educator is to be someone children can trust, feel comfortable with, and look up to. Helping a child smile and knowing I’ve made a positive difference in their day is truly what motivates me. And just for fun—some things I love are the Grinch, goose shirts, Disney, and anything Pittsburgh!

Hi! My name is Miss Lauren, and I am from Hookstown, PA. I come from a large family of four sisters and three brothers. I am also an aunt to seven nieces and nephews (and counting!), so spending time with kids has always been a part of my life-- and something I love. Over the years I have babysat for multiple families with kids of all ages, and have volunteered with various kids’ programs. I love to see kids learn and grow, and my biggest desire is to give them a space where they will feel valued, comfortable, confident, and safe. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Multimedia Design and am excited to bring creativity into the classroom through art and hands-on activities. In my free time I enjoy drawing, painting, playing my piano, being out in the sunshine, and hanging out with my friends and family. I’m very excited to be part of your child’s learning experience and I look forward to getting to know each student and family!

Hi! My name is Miss Rylee, and I’ve had a passion for working with children for as long as I can remember. For the past 4 years, I’ve been lucky enough to turn that passion into a career in childcare. I’m so excited to be apart of the C&M family and can’t wait to get to know you and your child. My goal as a teacher is to create a warm, fun, and supportive environment where every child can learn, grow, and feel valued. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and diving into a good book. 

My name is Katlyn Kay I’m a mom of 2, little girl named Isabella and a little girl named Nyla. I became a teacher because I love children I love being able to watch them grow and learn all sorts of new things. I cannot wait to get to know your babies and get to love them as much as you do!

Hi! My name is Ayauna!I was born in San Diego, and moved to pittsburgh when I was 2 years old and have been here since! Before beginning my career in childcare I worked as a patient care tech for 2 years. I have two kids of my own, Lorenzo & Sophia. With a busy life and schedule any free time I get, I love to read! Last year I listed to 173 audiobooks! I became a teacher because I’ve always loved working kids! I was a nanny before coming to a childcare facility, and I loved forming connections with not only the kids but their parents as well. I can’t wait to watch your kiddos, grow and learn so much!

My name is Jenn and I am originally from Germany. I have traveled a lot and enjoy learning new things. I am passionate about learning and sharing my knowledge. I love working with children and making a positive difference in their lives. Watching a child be proud of something new that they have learned has inspired me to want to teach. My mission for the classroom is to allow every child to be their authentic selves, while learning and having fun.

Hi, I'm Mrs. Jordan, I have worked in childcare for the last 10+ years and truly have a passion for working with young children. In my classroom we get messy, dance, sing, do yoga and read often! I am currently finishing my bachelors degree in early childhood education with an emphasis in special education through Carlow University. In my free time I love to read, hike and spend time with my dog 🐕 Stimpy, cat Wren and wife Rachel.

Hello, my name is Julia Burgard. I have been a member of the C&M team since January of 2026. I have a passion for working with children. I have always loved seeing them grow and learn new things. I graduated from Knoch High School in 2020. I then went on to earn my bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Penn State, graduating in 2024. I live in Butler with my boyfriend, Danny, and dog, Meika. In my free time I like to spend time with friends, watching movies, going to the races and being on a beach. I cannot wait to learn, grow and love with all of my students!

Hi, my name is Miss Tara! I’m so beyond happy to be here at C&M. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and currently live in the North Hills. I graduated from Avonworth before heading to Penn State, where I studied from 2019–2023 and found an amazing community through cheerleading, dance, and leadership roles.

I come from a family of educators—both of my parents have been elementary school teachers in the Pittsburgh Public Schools for over 35 years—so a love for teaching has always been in my blood! Growing up, I loved helping in my mom’s classroom and being part of the school environment. At Penn State, I even stepped into teaching myself as a TA and Learning Coordinator for an environmental science/philosophy course.

My passion for working with children has been lifelong (I was still playing with baby dolls in middle school!). After college, I became a nanny for a toddler, gaining nearly two years of hands-on experience with early childhood care. Now, I’m thrilled to bring that love and experience into the classroom here.

Outside of teaching, I’ve also pursued my love for clean beauty and wellness through sales and entrepreneurship, which has given me opportunities to travel and grow personally and professionally. I’m a social butterfly who loves spending time with my family, friends, and community, especially at the movie theater! 

I feel so grateful and aligned with this opportunity, and I can’t wait to create meaningful, joyful days with your children!

Hi! I’m Miss Riley! I grew up in Lower Burrell and graduated from IUP with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. I’ve been working with kids for 3 years, and I love helping them learn, grow, and shine each day! My mission in the classroom is to create a space where every child feels safe, loved, and excited to explore. I believe learning should be full of curiosity, laughter, and hands-on fun! When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me reading, going to the gym, or spending time with my family. I can’t wait for all the adventures and memories we’ll make together here at C&M!

Hi everyone, I'm Miss Sheyanne! I grew up in Beaver Falls, PA and am currently living in Allison Park. I have 7.5 years of experience working in Special Education as a Paraprofessional and Registered Behavior Technician! I have always had a desire to work with children and it is everything I'd hoped it would be. I am so excited to be here at C&M! Watching children gain new skills and watch their personalities grow is so rewarding. When I'm not at work, I love reading, going to concerts, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to begin my journey here and meet you and your children!

Hi, my name is Sarah. I grew up in Brighton Heights and now live in Gibsonia with my wonderful family. From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with children. I originally set out to become a Kindergarten teacher, but during college, a professor helped me discover my true passion: working with younger children in early childhood education. Helping children learn, grow, and develop during their earliest years is something I find incredibly rewarding and inspiring.
